Free Financial Calculators

30+ calculators for loans, investing, business, savings, debt, and retirement. Every tool runs in your browser — no data leaves your device.

What these calculators do

Every tool on this page runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, there is no account to create, and no figures are stored — which is deliberate, because the numbers people put into a loan or net-worth calculator are exactly the numbers you should not have to hand over to use a free tool.

Each calculator publishes the formula behind it. A compound-interest tool shows the compounding expression it evaluates; a loan tool shows the amortisation schedule it builds. That matters because a calculator you cannot check is a calculator you have to trust, and a wrong answer from a finance tool is unusually expensive. You can reproduce any result here in a spreadsheet and confirm it yourself.

Where a result depends on an assumption, the page says which one. Inflation, tax brackets and future returns are all unknown, so the calculators let you vary them rather than quietly picking a figure for you.

Which one to start with

  1. 1
Comparing loan offers?Start with the loan payment calculator, then check the total cost with the APR calculator. A lower monthly payment is not a cheaper loan.
  2. 2
Buying a home? The mortgage calculator gives the payment; the amortisation schedule shows where that money actually goes over the term.
  3. 3
Clearing debt? The debt payoff and credit card payoff calculators show how much the length of the repayment period costs you.
  4. 4
Planning to invest? The compound interest and DCA calculators show what a regular contribution becomes over time, and how sensitive that is to the return you assume.
  5. 5
Running a business? The break-even, cash flow and working capital tools cover the three figures that most often decide whether a small business survives a slow quarter.

Common questions

Are these calculators free to use?

Yes, and without an account. The site is funded by advertising and affiliate arrangements rather than by charging for the tools, and no calculator is gated behind a sign-up.

Do you store the numbers I enter?

No. Every calculation runs in your browser using JavaScript, so the figures never leave your device. There is no server-side calculation and no history of what you entered.

How accurate are the results?

The arithmetic is exact for the inputs you give it, and each tool publishes its formula so you can verify that. What no calculator can tell you is whether your assumptions are right — a mortgage result is only as good as the rate and term you typed in, and those are the numbers you should confirm with the lender.

Why does my lender quote a different monthly payment?

Usually because the quote includes something the calculator does not: arrangement fees added to the balance, payment protection insurance, a different day-count convention, or rounding at a different point in the calculation. Small differences of a few pounds or dollars are normally fees or rounding, not an error.
